Solve that Unhappy Marriage Quick

Commitment and forever are two words that come to mind when you think of the word marriage. It is a bond between two people who have pledged their lives to one another, to love, honor and cherish each other forever. Sadly, this point of view does not seem to hold true in today's world. Researchers say that the amount of married couples who have filed or are divorced is growing rapidly. Many couples end up getting divorced simply because they are no longer happy in the marriage.

Is divorce really the only answer to this growing problem? If the couple is not happy with the state of the marriage isn't there ways to rectify the issues before a divorce happens? Here are some tips to saving your unhappy marriage quickly.

1. Learn that a problem is nothing more than a challenge the two of you can face together. It is normal in every marriage to have issues, whether they are financial, emotional or health problems every marriage has them at one point or another. Try not to dwell on the problem and let it consume you. If it consumes you it is likely to consume your marriage also.

By finding ways to handle these problems you will find that both partners will have a better outlook on life. Being able to count on your partner is half of getting through any issue, since you will realize that you will never have to handle a problem alone.

2. Make sure that you maintain open communication between yourself and your partner. Take time to learn about each other and how to understand each other better. One of the main reasons a marriage can become unhappy is the lack of open communication. If you can communicate openly about your feelings, needs and wants then someone will become unhappy in the marriage.

Don't become a stranger to your partner. If you feel you no longer know the other person then take the time to change that. Sit down and discuss things and you will see a great change in communication.

3. If the spark is missing in your marriage find ways to rekindle it and bring that spark back. When one or both persons in a marriage feel unappreciated they marriage will become an unhappy place. Learn to remember that although some of your focus needs to be on your home, job, friends and other family members your spouse also needs love and attention.

By finding ways to spend quality time together you will see that both parties will be happier. You can try to do things together such as going places, taking classes of interest to both people, traveling or just being together. You can also do things to surprise your spouse such as sending a card out of the blue, bringing home flowers for no reason or just saying I love you anytime. Whatever you do make sure to work on keeping an open line of communication.
